Noah Plauger caught this 45" 36 pound monster Rockfish near Cove Point during early December 2012.
Bob Critcher (shown above) was fishing aboard the Wound Tight early in December when he caught this behemoth Striped Bass that was 52" long and weighed in at a whopping 54.65 lbs. Kelly Troxler and son Cory were out recently on the Bay. Dad said it "was the best day ever fishing aboard the Bay Hog with Capt George." This beautiful rockfish was the first big rockfish caught this fall out of the Rod ‘n’ Reel Harbor by Jason Norton on Saturday, November 4 aboard the Bay Hog II with Capt Paul O’Conner. It weighed 45 lbs and was 47” long. It was caught off of a planer board near the western channel edge between 78A and 78, using a parachute from Tyler’s Tackle Shop with a 9”shad.
Capt Paul still has dates available to book a Charter in November and December. Call for the available dates 240-832-1693. Season ends December 15th!Steve, Chuck and the girls had a great day with Capt George and Cathy catching 13 rockfish, 7 bluefish and over 100 perch on Saturday, October 27th. A good catch of Trophy Rockfish aboard the Bay Hog II by Captain Georgie and mate Cathy and some store customers on April 25.
Check out this massive 54 pound Rockfish caught by Eric Gordon of Parkville, MD. The big fish stretched the tape to 50" with a girth of was 29 1/2" .
Mike Scruggs of Alexandria (VA) caught this 40 1/2" 32 lb. Striper on Opening Day 2012 using a chartreuse umbrella.
